About Us
Winnipeg Technical College is a public educational institution that has been in operation since 1985. The College understands that newcomers play a vital role in the building of Manitoba's future and is committed to delivering quality language training through its English Language Centre.
The English as an Additional Language program began as two day classes, serving approximately 40 students. Since then, the program has expanded to 39 day and evening classes, with over 750 students enrolled in each session.
Winnipeg Technical College English Language Centre has qualified staff dedicated to providing an EAL program to meet the needs and goals of the students. The program includes language tasks that allow students to learn and build upon their existing skills, making it easier to integrate into and succeed in the labour market.
