Winnipeg Technical College English Language Centre provides a high quality English as an Additional Language program for adults with Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) levels 1 - 8.
The classes include listening, speaking, reading and writing and are designed to meet the needs of each student, focusing on community, academic, and work-related tasks.
There are two locations:
Pembina Campus (1551 Pembina Highway)
Erin Campus (609 Erin Street)
There is no cost for classes if you are:
- An adult immigrant
- A permanent resident
- A Canadian citizen born outside Canada
- A refugee claimant
- A provincial nominee (including spouses and adult children) who has received a letter of approval from the Province of Manitoba
How to Register:
Students must have an assessment from WELARC (Winnipeg English Language Assessment and Referral Centre). Call (204) 943-5387 to register for a language assessment. Once you have been assessed, WELARC will refer you to a language training program. Students that have been referred to Winnipeg Technical College English Language Centre will be contacted when a space becomes available.
